Meeting Invitation
______________________________________________________________
When: September 26, 2008
Where: Intercontinental Toronto Centre, 225 Front Street West
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (light working lunch will be served)
Session I: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30a.m. Transaction Mail Rate
Package Follow-ups
The July 24th rate package session on Transaction Mail tabled key
issues and concerns of mailers and suppliers with the 2009 + rate
package presented by Canada Post. As one of the positive results
of this initial session, two important issues were agreed for a
subsequent workshop. Join Shirley Neil, Chair, Transaction Mail
Council, as she hosts discussions with Canada Post
representatives, Mike Badour, and Richard Jokiel on these two
points:
 | Downstreaming |
 | Rate Structure |
Significant progress has been achieved in building the framework
for discussions as this Council moves forward, vastly improving
opportunities for win-win solutions,or at least win-neutral decisions.
A brief recap of this working framework will also be introduced.
Session II: 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Priorities: Admail, Publications Mail, VAM Council, Enviro
Committee
Although great strides forward are being made on the Lettermail
process, NAMMU members are also concerned with some of the
directional initiatives taken on competitive products. Over a
light, working lunch, table your issues/ideas on these and other concerns you have with the 2009 rate
package, or current processes/requirements on these competitive
products and services. Join Kathleen Rowe, President, and
establish NAMMU agenda priorities for the next general Council
sessions in October.
Advance registration is mandatory by
September 19th.
