WASN'T THAT A PARTY!
The Canadian mailing industry honored its own at the sold-out FIRST
CLASS MAIL2003 NAMMU Mailing Industry Awards event, November 3. Already
forecasted to (at least) double in size for 2004, this inaugural event
hit all the high notes: Outstanding mail campaign entries; expert
judging and process integrity; awards that rewarded the winners of stiff
competition with a worthy reminder of their accomplishment. And YES, a
great party hosting the industries best.
NAMMU thanks all those who contributed to the success of this event:

DMA RECAP: DESTINATION CANADA
DMA Booth 1758 NAMMU Central transported US and global mailers and
suppliers to their largest, highly receptive and dramatically
undermarketed by mail marketplace: CANADA. It was great an unqualified
successstated Kathleen Rowe, NAMMU President. We met all of our
objectives:*Showcased the Canadian marketplace and opportunities through
frequent presentations and giveaway material right at the
booth;*Showcased the Canadian supplier infrastructure and launched the
NAMMU eBUYERS GUIDE CD as a takeaway from the booth; *Established NAMMU
not only as a strong connection to the Canadian marketplace for mailers,
but the resource to access at will for expertise in the Canadian as well
as global mail channels; *Established an alliance with The Mailing and
Fulfillment Services Association (MFSA), exploring additional services
for NAMMU members and at minimum, expanding information access; and are
in the process of discussion with DMA at their initiative;*Took away
qualified leads, maintained contact and these leads are being
distributed to the NAMMU supplier base.
The momentum of DESTINATION CANADA has been growing since its launch
at IDEAlliance in March, and will continue as NAMMU selectively targets
potential conference and trade show audiences, based on member feedback.
It is also criticalRowe noted, that NAMMU not only maintain the momentum
of DESTINATION CANADA, but that we report specific, quantifiable mailing
acquisition successes.
This week, all NAMMU suppliers are being provided with the identical
listing of qualified contacts and the area(s) of interest identified at
DMA and in subsequent contacts. All NAMMU members will also receive the
2003 eBUYERS GUIDE CD.
NAMMU wishes to thank all those who contributed to the success of
this DMA event:
