Kathleen Rowe, president of the National Association
of Major
mail Users (NAMMU) presents the special award for the 2003
Mailing Industry Issues Managementto the Hon. Andre Ouellet,
P.C., Q.C., President and CEO, Canada Post Corporation, at the
inaugural mailing industry awards night.
Toronto, November 3, 2003 The Canadian mailing industry saluted the Hon.
Andre Ouellet, P.C.,Q.C., President and CEO, Canada Post Corporation, at
the FIRST CLASS MAIL2003 NAMMU Mailing Industry Awards event November 3
in Toronto.
Mr. Ouellet was cited as the only pickpossible for the category:
EXCELLENCE: MAILING INDUSTRY ISSUES MANAGEMENT. In her presentation
remarks in the sold out Awards venue, NAMMU President, Kathleen Rowe,
acknowledged the ..over half million of us who earn our living in the
Canadian mailing industry..and went on to describe NAMMUs business
presence to both parties leading up to and during the negotiations.
Rowe also acknowledged the ground breaking efforts by both parties
during the negotiations, as well as the level of pressure on all
concerned to come to a balanced conclusion. A conclusion, according to
Rowe, that balances the human and business needs of the Corporation,
along with its customersneeds and plans for business growth. Describing
Ouellets behavior throughout that successful process, she stated: Grace
under extreme pressure describes one attribute we can clearly associate
with this individual.
NAMMU is the voice of the Canadian mailing industry, representing end
users and the supplier infrastructure. The FIRST CLASS MAIL2003 NAMMU
Mailing Industry Awards celebrated excellence in campaigns and results
achieved through the dominant use of the mail channel.
