NAMMU
PRINTS SAMSUNG ON HIGHEST AWARD
Toronto,
November 1, 2006…A big idea and great execution made the Wunderman
entry for the Samsung Printer Reseller Engagement Program the top
jury pick for the BEST OF THE BEST award at the 2006 NAMMU’s, held
November 1 at the Design Exchange.
The campaign
scored top marks with the judges and won the entry category of
Dimensional Addressed Admail, Information Technology, business to
business. Wunderman capitalized on hockey fever when the NHL
finally sent players back to the ice in fall 2005. Inviting the
reader to “imagine the excitement of a shootout” in an inventive
dimensional package, Samsung offered the thrill of sitting at
center ice in a hockey getaway. This big idea broke through to the
world of small-to-medium Canadian business with stellar results.
“An idea
doesn’t get much bigger than your own personal, larger-than-life
Hockey Night in Canada,” noted presiding head judge and master of
ceremonies, Alan Brodeur. “Wunderman came up with a killer
strategy and the results prove it. That’s shooting it right into
the net. And the reason this campaign is the 2006 pick for Best of
The Best.”
Canada Post
Senior Vice-President, Direct Marketing, Advertising & Publishing
Business, Laurene Cihosky, commented: “Let me just say what an
honor it is for Canada Post to sponsor the “Best of the Best”
award. As the industry’s most prestigious award which recognizes
excellence in marketing with mail as the primary medium, I can’t
imagine a better fit for Canada Post as sponsor, or a better place
for me to be this evening.”
NAMMU
President, Kathleen Rowe, said “Overall, the quality of the
entries is impressive and it is a highly competitive field.
Selection of this Samsung campaign by Wunderman is a very
significant win.”
