The special award for the 2003 Mailing Industry Issues Managementwas
presented to the Hon. Andre Ouellet, P.C., Q.C., President and CEO,
Canada Post Corporation, by NAMMU President, Kathleen Rowe. In her
remarks, Rowe stated: There is simply no other pick for this award this
year. One individual had to weigh all the factors - human and business
concerns for this Crown Corporation as well as the legitimate demands of
an already fragile Canadian mailing industry, employing over 500
thousand people. Although great credit is given to all parties involved
in this ground breaking negotiated settlement, this individual held the
two parties at the table. The Hon. Andre Ouellet wins this award for his
own campaign: BUSINESS AS USUAL.
NAMMU is the voice of the Canadian mailing industry and represents the
business interests of end users and the supplier infrastructure. The
2003 NAMMU Mailing Industry Awards celebrate excellence in campaigns and
results achieved through the dominant use of the mail channel
