KEENAN RECOGNIZED FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION

Toronto, October 27, 2004…..Tony Keenan was honored for his outstanding contribution to the direct mail channel at the 2004 NAMMU Mailing Industry Awards. A popular choice, the well wishers cheered when his name was announced and Tony was appreciative, declaring himself “surprised” by the award.

In her remarks, NAMMU President, Kathleen Rowe, noted: “For the Canadian mailing industry, it’s all about that MAIL moment – the point when someone makes the decision to open that mail piece, read, take action. This individual has done so much to take our industry even further, to lend more credibility, and to integrate that MAIL moment with smart marketing and smarter technology to gain ever greater results.”

Tony Keenan is now chairman of Sears Business Solutions, and is a lifelong direct marketer. Among others, he has served Postlinx, Regal Greetings and Gifts, MDC Direct Marketing and Home Shopping, World Book Encyclopedia, Tiger North America Inc., Livre Loisirs Ltee. His industry contribution is stellar. Tony has provided leadership to the Canadian Marketing Association and The Direct Marketing Association of Toronto, and is currently Vice-Chairman of the Association for the Advancement of Relationship Marketing.
