reviewing the input from members concerned with any of the
changes, the NAMMU Board of Directors will pursue its mandate to

governing non-regulated, exclusive privilege products, that

INCENTIVE LETTERMAIL
The “up to 50g” weight band is being
separated into two levels, 0-30g receives no increase, 30-50g an
estimated 6 per cent increase. The EST will require correct weight
category input. Minimum machine read rates will be established,
“certification” will be optional, the cure period eliminated.

REPLY
As of July 1, 2007, all BRM and IBRM
items will be required to use the 4-state bar code instead of the
93 symbology barcode.
ADDRESSED ADMAIL & PUBLICATIONS MAIL
Minimum fill requirements for
presorted hard-sided containers will be reduced from 70 per cent
to 50 per cent for Level 1 – Delivery Facility(DF) and Level 4 –
Forward Consolidation Point (FCP), and will apply when there is
only one presorted container for either a DF or FCP; or to the
last presorted container for either a DF or FCP. SERP software
vendors have been provided with the updated technical
specifications. Effective January 15,2007, you must use the Brick
Piling Module of the SERP presort software in order to submit
brick piled mailings.

SURCHARGES
Effective January 15, 2007, there
will be a change to the surcharge price structure to align it
across all services. Details on the new surcharge price structure
will be available on the Canada Post website as of November 10,
2006.
UNADDRESSED ADMAIL
Effective January 2007, a single or
multiple samples can be included in the same envelope, and the
price will be determined by the overall weight and annual volume
commitment.
