Why is DataFix offering this service?
Based on our extensive experience working in the field of elections management, DataFix introduced Municipal VoterView in 2002 to streamline the management of elector information by simplifying the process of finding voters, adding, deleting or changing voter information, obtaining voter count reports and accessing custom extracts of voter information.
What is Municipal VoterView?
Municipal VoterView is an innovative Internet-based product designed to provide leading edge support throughout the electoral process.
Where does the voter data come from?
MVV can be populated with existing voter information provided by the municipality or from any source the municipality deems appropriate. For Ontario municipalities, the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation is legislated to provide a Preliminary List of Electors in July of an election year.
What are the technical requirements?
To access Municipal VoterView you must have Internet access and a recent web browser: Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Mozilla/Firefox are all fully supported.
Is VoterView Secure?
All Municipal VoterView data is treated with the utmost sensitivity. DataFix has extensive experience in storing and processing sensitive data in a fully secure manner. The PLE data used for Municipal VoterView is stored behind a secure firewall, and all Internet traffic is protected through the use of 128-bit SSL encryption.
Can Municipal VoterView provide other services?
Yes, DataFix has an Internet Voter Lookup service that allows electors to find out if they are on the list and where they vote. Another product is MVV Mobile that allows municipalities to update the list or perform voter strike-offs from remote locations and have them automatically loaded back to Municipal VoterView.
