Internet Voter Lookup
This is a web service which the municipality can call from their own existing web servers. The web service is able to accept requests using HTTP Get, HTTP Post or SOAP. The results will be in an XML format. This allows the municipality to host the web page with the lookup on it, but the data will reside on DataFix's database servers. You will still be responsible for creating the user interface and maintaining the web server. This approach has a number of advantages.
Firstly, there are no issues around the currency of the data because queries will be made on the live file.
Secondly, there would be no resource requirements to download and refresh the data on your local site.
And thirdly, since you would be hosting the site, the URL the user will see will be yours, making the process entirely seamless and transparent.
MVV Mobile
MVV Mobile is a windows application that has been developed for use by municipalities who wish to use the electronic voter strike-off capabilities of MVV in off-site locations. It can be installed onto any laptop or desktop. This application serves as a backup in the event that a connection to Municipal VoterView is unavailable or lost during advance polling days or voting day, and can be used for roving polls. It allows the user to strike voters off the list as having voted, recording the location and time they voted in a local database. Once an internet connection is restored, the application will automatically synchronize the voters recorded in mobile with the on-line version. At the end of each day, a new local database can be loaded onto the laptops or desktops with the latest information.
Enhanced Worker Management
The Enhanced Worker Management System provides the tools necessary to manage the processes necessary for hiring election workers, assigning training and polling locations and monitoring hours worker to support payroll. Applications for employment are received on-line to the municipality’s Web Site and managed within the Enhanced Worker Management functionality in VoterView.
The reporting tools provide the ability to sort through the list of applicants using various defined criteria.
